About Us

First, we offer a refreshing friendship and fellowship of committed, loving people who care about you personally. The Ventura Seventh-day Adventist Church is devoted to your personal enjoyment of God. Jesus is our example in total devotion to the welfare of others.

Second, we enjoy fellowship through corporate worship, prayer times, and Bible Study in Jesus’ chosen time. In the following pages, you will discover why this is so important to us in terms of the Sabbath day. However, for now it is important to realize that this sacred time is a divine gift for you by which to renew and refresh your own spirit, and to renew your personal relationships with your family and friends.

Third, we create constant fellowship opportunities. These include our prayer times, in which we connect with the single most important person of all of time -- Jesus Christ.

Fourth, we expand our fellowship through ministries to the community. These include Community Services, Homeless Ministries, and Health Ministries. These also include informative meetings which explore the meaning our lives today in the light of the ancient prophecies of the Bible.

Finally, we have smaller fellowship groups for seniors, youth, and children. Whether you are a Senior, or a child, youth or a toddler, we offer you a place in which you are accepted unconditionally, to which you may belong, without fear or prejudice

About Seventh-day Adventists
Adventists believe a Trinity of three persons--the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit--make up one God. They saved us  when Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father's will. When Jesus was crucified for the sins of the people of the world and arose from the dead on the third day, victory was won for everyone.

What Seventh-day Adventists Believe
As a Christian church, Seventh-day Adventists are a faith community rooted in the beliefs described by the Holy Scriptures. Adventists describe these beliefs in the following ways:

Fundamental Beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
Seventh-day Adventists accept the Bible as their only creed and hold certain fundamental beliefs to be the teaching of the Holy Scriptures. These beliefs, as set forth here, constitute the church's understanding and expression of the teaching of Scripture.
